Sales and Event Coordinator – School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (Regular Part-time)

The Sales & Event Coordinator for the School of Hospitality Tourism and Culinary Arts is responsible for a variety of duties to support the Events, Catering and Restaurant units as well as academic programs for the school. This position involves creating and continually updating all promotional material including, but not limited to, sales packages, website content, social media content and web based third party systems. This position will liaise with college marketing team to ensure brand consistency. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to market, sell and book the event space. They will also invoice clients and support accounts payable operations for the Event Centre. The incumbent will contact local business and work with existing internal clients to showcase venue to new customers and new market segments. Other responsibilities are to develop corporate and social group menus with the Executive Chef and General Manager and develop and present promotional concepts for the marketing plan and a financial plan. He/she will work with General Manager to prepare the marketing budget and sales objectives. The incumbent may also be required to work operations of some events.
